Garden Buying Guides (2026)

Each buying guide here takes one garden job, such as starting seeds or watering the beds, says what the job needs and names a few picks for it, with the makers' specs side by side in one table. The gift guides pick for each kind of gardener.

The specs come from each maker's own product pages and manuals, and the advice on what a job needs comes from the sources listed at the end of each guide. We do not test products or run growing trials, and we do not score, rate or rank picks. Some links in these guides earn us a commission: our disclosure explains how, and our editorial policy covers how guides are checked.
