Rutabaga Seeds, Laurentian

Canadian selection of large Rutabaga, bred more or less from American Purple Top. More uniform in root size and slightly more cold tolerant, although a truly deep freeze without snow or mulch cover can kill Turnips and Rutabagas. It has a Purple collar, yellow lower skin and yellow flesh. Highly productive. Also called a 'Swede' in the UK and some North American locations. Untreated seed.
