This is the only Imperator type carrot we grow on our farm as it actually tastes good! Now the most popular fresh market carrot in Europe, Sugarsnax also is great for baby carrot and processing carrot production. Long 9-11 inch roots are tapered Imperator-types. Do work your soil deeply as these roots go deep. In out fields we occasionally get 15" long carrots in the fall. High carotene content, richly flavored, and as the name implies, very sweet.
