Released by Dr. Nakayama in 1975 and is in the Guinness Book of World Records as the worlds largest of the NUMEX (New Mexico) types. This pepper has pods up to 12 inches long that weigh as much as 4 ounces. Their size makes them a favorite for chiles rellenos. Medium hot pungency. As an advantage, plants are able to set fruit under hot, dry conditions. Untreated seed.
