Leek Seeds, Megaton F1 Hybrid

Although OP (open-pollinated) leeks produce well, many growers are switching to hybrids like Megaton for their consistent high productivity and ease of processing. Megaton requires less 'cleaning' of the outer leaves to create the desired classic straight stalk for display and sale. Dark green leaves contrast nicely with the long white stalks. So far this is the highest production early winter harvest variety on our California farm that we have tried. Home growers will love this one, too. Untreated seed.
