This is an amazingly versatile plant originating from Asia. The traditional culinary use for the wonderfully crinkled green leaves is for sushi, but they lend themselves to a wide range of uses. A member of the mint family, with some of that characteristic scent and flavor, perilla is well-known for use in herbal teas and as a treatment for a wide range of ailments. Easy to grow. Untreated seed.
