Friariello is the classic small frying pepper (hence its name) used throughout Italy and especially associated with the Campania region. Saute in olive oil with a bit of garlic to find a bit of heaven! This variety is well known for its strong production and great flavor. The 4-5 inch long tapered peppers are thin skinned and ideal for frying, most often used green, but can be ripened to a deep red. Untreated seed.
