Pepper Seeds, Sigaretta Dolce

This Italian pepper is a classic sweet 'cigar' type, long with a pointed tip. The flesh is bright green which turns brilliant red when fully ripe. It is also known as Sigaretta di Bergamo as it is from Bergamo in the Milan region (now mostly urban). Traditionally used pickled (sottoaceto) but also a champ for all-around use, perfect fresh on a salad, fried, or grilled. Untreated seed.
