Pimento sweet peppers are relatively easy to grow and can tolerate relatively cool temperatures for a pepper plant. They can be eaten by those who do not like or are allergic to Bell Peppers. They are susceptible to excessively wet conditions causing infections like most pepper varieties. Pimiento peppers are originally from southeastern Europe and is a popular type and variety in those areas. It is most familiar canned to US consumers, but tastes good fresh. Pick the fruit ripe with the red color fully developed and enjoy. Highly productive and the modern hybrids are not as good tasting. Upright prolific 26-30 in. plants with smooth heart shaped fruits, 3 x 2.5 in. diameter. Our seed is from a US supplier. Untreated seed.
