(Tarassaco) This is a select 'cultivated' strain of the common dandelion bred for its abundant leaf production. Culinary uses of the leaves and flowers range from fresh or cooked greens (similar to chicory use), teas, herbal remedies, and dandelion wine. Dandelion is also known for being rich in nutrients. Easy to grow, and in most climates treat as a perennial. But, as it reseeds readily, be sure to keep those delightful golden blossoms picked. Untreated seed.
