Egyptian Walking Onion

Also known by 'tree onion' or 'top onion', this delightful heirloom perennial is quite prolific once established. Instead of blooms, this unusual plant creates dozens of little bulblets at the top of a long stalk. The name comes from the habit of the stalk eventually falling over, allowing the bulblets to take root as the plant 'walks' across your garden. All of the plant, bulb, greens, and bulblets can be used like other onions, and have a delicious spicy kick.
