One of the most acclaimed and famous of the French endives. Large upright (almost heading type) escarole with full, crunchy, white stems. Heart is self-blanching. Like most escaroles/endives, it does best in fall if you are growing a full sized head, although you can grow at any time for cuttings for a salad. Untreated seed.
