Cucumber Seeds, White Wonder (Mezzo Lungo Bianco)

This nice medium size cucumber with a white skin that turns Yellow at maturity came from New England originally where white cucumbers were popular in the 19th century. It is an old heirloom variety. The texture of the flesh is very nice, but the skin usually has some bitterness like most old-fashioned standard cucumbers. This is overcome by either cutting off the end of the fruit and rubbing it in a circular motion or by serving in a bit of vinegar with salt in the traditional way. Fruit length is usually 5-6" and diameter is 1-1/2" to 2" at picking. Premium Italian seed. We have brought this variety back to the website after a several year absence because we like to grow it and sell it from our farm. Untreated seed.
