Often referred to as "Italian Dandelion", this erect chicory plant has elongated, very serrated, glossy green leaves. Not only the tender and white leaves can be eaten, but also the shoots which are similar to asparagus which can be eaten boiled, in salads, or in soups. They are picked while still tender as they sprout. Sowing can be staggered at different times, to extend the growing to a long harvest season. Untreated seed.
