Produces foliage of various forms and colors; curly laciniate, bumpy, green, pale pink, deep red, striated, variegated. With the first frosts the leaves begin to bring on their best color,so time planting for early summer (June-early July). Great as a way to bring color and interest to the late season garden, and the edible leaves make a wonderful garnish on the autumn table. Untreated seed.
