Garlic chive sprouts belong to the Liliaceae family. These sprouts are rich in vitamins A, B, C, E, and mineral salts like Calcium, Phosphorus, Iron, Magnesium, and Sulphur. They are thought to help lower the level of 'bad' cholesterol (LDL - Low Density Lipoprotein) and are known to strengthen the immune system. They have a tonic effect o the nervous system. Sprouts take 2 weeks to grow.
