Description

This great spinach has large, smooth, dark green leaves, low in acid, tender and succulent even when they get large. 10" long and up to 8" at the base. Although known for this early production of large leaves, it is very suited for young leaf production for fresh/salad use with the lanceolate shape. Good market selection. UNTREATED.

I've tried to grow decent spinach in my garden for 7 years with big box store plant varieties with little to no success. But no so this time! I started my own seedlings of Viroflay that quicky became healthy seedlings ready for transplant. The plants continued to provide greens for us until the first wave of extreme heat. No complaints, lots of compliments and a new-found gem for future gardens!
