Dating back to the mid-1800's and a recognized prize winner of the 1893 World's Fair, Reid's Yellow Dent is still one of the most popular open-pollinated corn varieties today. This fine heirloom was first developed from an accidental cross as a widely-adapted, high-producing field corn. Still being used for field/feed use, it is now considered one of the best roasting ear varieties, as well. Grows to 6-7' tall (8'-10' here in NM), with 9" ears. Handles heat well. Untreated seed.
