Description

TEMPORARILY OUT OF STOCK, MORE DUE APRIL 2012

This is an exceptional red variety of asparagus bean. Edible pods are dark green, tender and delicious. Young pod has thick meat with crisp texture and very small seed cavity, excellent for cooking uses. The plant grows vigorously and produces lots of long beans for a long time. Easy to grow. An excellent variety for home gardens and fresh markets. UNTREATED.

These are quite a novelty! THey are a darker red than in the picture, and cook up to a dark, dark purple red. I"ve grown the green ones and liked them, but I found these red ones less tasty.

Red Noodle Asparagus Beans are tender, delicious and STRINGLESS! I just chop and saute... so easy! Gorgeous, long, red beans are prolific on vigorous plants, that tolerate our hot New Mexico summers. So delicious and tender... they're a must-have heirloom!!
