Chicory Seeds, Agrio Red Stem

Agrio is not a totally red stem chicory like Italiko Rosso, but rather is slightly streaky and passes from red to creamy greenish through pink in the stems. The leaves are very serrated on the outer edges. Also they are slightly more v-shaped in profile than the standard leaf chicories. We have not seen this variety offered before by any other vendors in North America. The growth habit is quite upright and vigorous. An excellent choice for the market grower and home gardener. Untreated seed.
