"...an unsolicited review of the Red Russian kale seeds...I planted it in a raised bed 4'x3'. I should mention that it was "new" soil too: topsoil and some peat humus. After this summer year I would be afraid to add fertilizer or compost. it is huge. I stupidly planted fall turnips north of that bed and I can't harvest the leaves fast enough to keep it from shading them. For every leaf I cut, two more grow back, bigger than the one I cut. You might want to mention in the blurb about the kale that they get big. And they are really good as a cut-and-come-again plant. And just as a side-note, it's better-looking than lots of the ornamental kale I've seen... ...the rapa Quarantina that I got from you is doing beautifully...An avid gardener I know says that "the worst tomato from your garden will taste better than the best tomato from the store."
