About Gourmet Seed International, LLC

In 2005, we created Gourmet Seed International as we brought together the resources of several fine family-owned companies: Harvest Moon Farms & Seed Company*, Good Earth Seed, and Italian Seed and Tool. Still family-owned and small enough to care about your needs, with a bit of that small-town flavor to how we do business.

A BIT ABOUT US--SIMPLY THE SEED

We often get questions about who we are, and how/why we do business the way we do. There are a lot of very fine seed companies out there, so what drives us to offer you yet another choice?

Our business philosophy is very simple, and that is to provide a wide ranging and unique product line, at the highest level of quality and service available, and to do so as efficiently as possible. We know that folks are looking for better tasting produce, so we emphasize the culinary and sensory qualities of what we select to offer you (hence the name GOURMET Seed International).

To get you the freshest seed possible, we use hermetically-sealed, long-life packaging. Most orders ship within 1 business day, and our standard service for smaller orders is USPS Priority Mail. To further protect your order, we ship in a box, not a simple envelope or soft package.

To provide you with great value, we keep our operations streamlined. We don't spend a lot of money or waste resources on large, expensive, full-color catalogs, and send only one out every winter that you can use as a reference throughout the season. Our business is built around the efficiencies provided by highly-automated e-commerce, and although we are always delighted to hear from you by phone or 'snail' mail, the vast majority of our sales and communications with you are through the internet.

We are not involved in many side projects that take up resources of time and money and distract us from our primary focus: providing the finest product and service possible, at a fair price that represents good value.
