LEEK SEED LEEK SEED

Leeks have been cultivated at least since 3000 BC, and they are native to a broad region from Israel to India. A favorite and common in European cuisine. Sow seeds into flats in March for the best results, using containers that are at least 10cm. deep to allow for good root formation. Germination occurs in about 8 - 16 days. Leeks are a very cold hardy plant and in most zones will over-winter very easily.
