ENDIVE & ESCAROLE
(500 seeds avg. per gram/3,200 seeds avg. per 1/4 ounce) Endive is catagorized as those with frilly leaves (also called Frisee) and those with regular broad and/or smoother leaves called Escarole. Used primarily in salads they are a wonderful cooked, braised in olive oil or added in soups. Being part of the chicory family, they are grown similar to chicory and lettuce. Transplant after danger of frost.
