CUCUMBER SEED
(25-35 seeds avg. per gram) Sow indoors 3-4 weeks prior to last frost or direct seed after all risk of frost. For indoor planting use 2" square peat strip pots and plant 1-2 seeds per square; thin to ensure one plant per pot. Plant seeds 1/2-1" deep, transplant or space plants 6" apart in rows 4-6" apart. Plants are tender, so soil should be warm, 18-24C (65-75F) for germination to begin. If growing on a trellis, space plants 18" apart.

(CU15) CUCUMBER MEXICAN SOUR [Melothria scabra] This wonderful old heirloom is really beginning to get quite A following. The fruit look more like miniature watermelon, and easily fall off the vine when ripe. The flavor is a surprising sweet/sour mix of sweet cucumber flavor and a tartness reminiscent of pickles. (CU10) CUCUMBER TORTARELLO ABRUZZESE
(62 days) Not many new heirloom cuke's come out of here with such high marks. Especially one that is truly a member of the melon family. This is the famous 'Carosello' type of long cucumber melon. Picked when the size of a traditional cucumber it is indistinguishable from the finest of cukes. Let it grow and it gets alot larger and resembles a squash/melon. We have fallen in love with its long curves and tasty unique flavor. A nice Italian gourmet selection, imported.

(CU14) CUCUMBER TRUE LEMON ORGANIC
(65 days) An heirloom that was introduced in 1894 by Samuel Wilson of Mechanicsville, Pennsylvania. Similar in appearance and size to a lemon, averages 3" by 2". Was once a well-established variety in Australian markets. Used primarily for pickling, slicing and in salads. Very easy to digest. Rust and drought resistant.

Originating in Asia, this interesting little cucumber has become a recen italian delicacy. The plants are short and squat and do not vine. The fruit produced is round with light and dark green variegated skin, and delicious, crisp, juicy, sweet flesh. Best eaten when no larger than the size of a baseball. 1 gram UNTREATED - $2.59
