(40 days) "Hon-Tsai-Tai" type, with red purple stems and green leaves that look as beautiful as they are tasty.
This is a fast-growing edible rape and matures earlier than that its name implies. Plants can be harvested in 30 days after sowing for the spring-summer crop and 45-50 days for the fall-winter crop. Harvest young leaves and stems with flower buds for stir-fry and soup uses.

(AN04) GOLDEN CHOY SUM (40 days) Traditional variety in South China. The plant is approx. 28 cm in height with green leaves and yellow flowers. Very tender and delicious. It is productive and resistant to diseases as well as tolerant to heat and humidity. An ideal variety for summer and early fall cropping. Choy Sum in Chinese means the inner stalks and tips because Cantonese love to eat the delicious stalks and tips of this vegetable.

Taiwan lettuce is referred to as "a choy" and is a very popular vegetable green in Taiwan. Harvest at an early stage when leaves and stems are young and crispy. An excellent choice for home gardeners. This variety is used in Cantonese cuisine. Try the leafy green in salad or stir-fry.
